Second Step Learning: Planning for Success

This week, Ms. Jacobson taught the third graders to be assertive in their learning by planning for success.  She showed them the importance of making checklists that meet the following criteria:

1.  It makes sense.
2.  YOU can do it.
3.  It's simple.

Checklists are extremely helpful in third grade.  If your child is struggling to remember homework or coats and lunch boxes, a checklist in the student planner is a great idea!  Students may also benefit from checklists reminding them to read a certain amount of pages each night in planning for the 40BC.
